Our Process
01 — The Situation Analysis - Looking at Yourself:
Your initial session begins with a discussion of where you are in your career and your life. What sort of work and life activities have you engaged in, and how do they impact where you are now, both positively and negatively. What are those career-related values, transferable skills, strengths, preferences and accomplishments that have motivated you and that you rely on—and the intangibles: what ignites your passions?
Career Homework Career assessments and CareerFutures exercises are assigned to you for homework between sessions, to add “an additional voice” to the conversation. They provide new ways of looking at yourself, and stimulate the ability to focus as well provide valuable material to use to your skills and market your accomplishments in résumés and interviews as part of a competitive job search campaign.
02 — The Zeroing-In Phase:
During the next session(s), we discuss the results of your assessments and exercises and what new career choices have come into focus that are worthy of further exploration. We then introduce the research tools to enable you to narrow down your choices and/or make an informed, effective and viable action plan that will work for you and meet your needs.
03 — The Career Transition Phase:
We examine and develop what steps, strategies and tactics will be necessary to enable you to gain credibility, and become highly competitive in your new career or profession
04 — The Job Search Campaign:
a. We help you to develop targeted and focused résumés, to strategically use LinkedIn.com and to develop/improve a LinkedIn profile, as well as campaign correspondences.
b. You will learn optimal job interview preparation strategies and conduct a successful interview, both online and in person. You will be able to effectively follow-up after interviews and meetings--and eliminate your competition.
c. Mock Interview: The fifth session will be on Zoom, in which you are coached to rehearse and overcome the most difficult parts of job interviews that you will have experienced thus far, including answering difficult questions, and working with difficult interviewers. Practice makes perfect!
05 — Salary Negotiations, Landing and Acclimation:
We teach you how to negotiate the best salary package possible and other job search skills and strategies. We also can coach for the best techniques to survive and thrive in your new career.
